Alpha Demo v1.0 Release!


Apocrypha Alpha Demo v1.0 now available.

Hello everyone! first devlog here on itch.io, showcasing the first public release of Apocrypha, a simple early Demo showcasing the game's core gameplay mechanics.

It is important to note the game is still in development, this is an early release to gather feedback.

The demo is set on a single level with endless waves of allies and enemies spawning so you can test the different ships and weaponry.

Some of the current features include:

  • 8 different ships
  • 4 different cannons
  • 3 different missiles
  • 3 difficulty levels
  • 7 different skins
  • Cannons, missiles
  • Missiles target selecting
  • Advanced AI ship behavior
  • English and Spanish localization
  • VFX for missiles, explosions, ship damage, thrusters, and heat haze
  • Visual feedback on damage received

Planned and work-in-progress features:

  • SFX (THE GAME CURRENTLY HAS NO AUDIO SOUND EFFECTS)
  • VFX Optimization (not all particle systems are optimized and not all explosions are object-pooled)
  • Higher UI visual fidelity (currently has weird resolution artifacts)
  • Interactive ship and loadout selection menu
